Sedum

Today’s project, in lieu of an impromptu trip we’d planned to drive to Winthrop, due to being overwhelmed at the thought of a long drive on such a dreary day, was planting my fave, sedum!

We picked up some little beauties at the Port Townsend farmer’s market yesterday, and last night I scrounged for some ideas for potting them.  I love the look of low growing, spreading pots for sedum, succulents that grow rather like ground-cover.    I had an old, tinny, drum sitting around and so I drilled a few holes in the bottom for drainage, added some pea gravel, again for drainage, and voila…a sedum planter was born!
